Highlights
When I was looking at our blog I wondered to myself had it really been since July since I last updated?!? Then I remembered that as teachers…Conall and I’s busiest months are August and September. So, in one big lump sum, here are some of the many great experiences we’ve had since July; since my favorite parts of others’ blogs are always the pictures, here are our last few months in pictures! Enjoy!
In August, my brother, Patrick, his wife, Latisha, and my niece, Calista came for a visit! We had a ton of fun going to the Aquarium and eating at Original Pancake House, my favorite! Calista LOVED getting practice with her new baby cousin, which will come in handy this May! We are so excited for them and can’t wait to find out if we are adding another niece or a nephew to our family!

For Labor Day weekend, Conall’s parents, otherwise known as Nana and Papa around here, came to visit us! Uncle Ross even joined in the fun!

We got the opportunity to take the boys to St. Ann’s annual Carnival and Clark had a great time riding the rides and eating all the yummy food! Now, when we ask him what he wants to go do, he always replies with “carndeevallll!”

A good friend of mine from work also had a little boy last school year and we love getting them together for playdates! This picture was taken right before Gannon threw up, which you can see in his expression! They are going to have tons of fun playing together as they get older!

Gannon has also discovered his fingers, which as you can see….are much loved!

Coppell had a Fire Safety Event in September and we got to see fire trucks of all kinds and even a helicopter! Clark had fun playing games and bouncing in the bounce house

A dear friend of mine from college, Katie, and her husband are expecting their first little boy, Logan, in December…so of course, we celebrated with a baby shower! We can’t wait to meet him!

Clark and Dami were reading together

Dami and Molly were testing out their big sister and big brother roles!

Gannon hanging out with his Godmama, Angela! They were matching, so I had to grab a pic!
Katie and Logan opening gifts!
We took the boys to the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago and Clark loved picking up the “orange balls” and putting them in different wheelbarrows. He kept asking if he could “eat pumpkin” the whole time we were there.

Clark got the chance to hang out with some of his old CDA buddies from last year!

Gannon turned 4 months old!

Conall and I took a day off from work last week to take the boys to the State Fair, which I had never been to!

Last night, we were able to go to Coppell’s Oaktober fest! It was so much fun watching the balloon and we even got to go on a train ride around the lake!

Other exciting news going on is that we are in the process of buying a house! A house, that is very MUCH needed! We have completely outgrown our 2 bedroom apartment…it is, literally, filled to the brim! We can’t wait to take this next step together!

Clark turns 2!
Yep, we no long have two under 2! Gannon is now 2 weeks old and his big bro is an old man at the big oh-two! We celebrated his birthday with a party at the Duck Pond Park on Saturday. We were lucky enough that my family came in from Lubbock for the event and to meet Gannon and Conall’s parents came in from Houston. We were also blessed with many of our good friends and Clark’s friends from his school. Although it was hot, Clark didn’t eat a thing (even cake!), and we didn’t get him to go down for a nap until well until that evening, we had a blast. Thanks to everyone who came to make his day so special!

We celebrated his real birthday (today, the 29th) with his favorite donuts for breakfast (healthy, I know!) and taking him to some of his favorite places around town.

I can’t believe my baby boy is two already. Where has time gone? I would have never imagined how much joy and love he has brought to Conall and I and I can’t imagine what our lives would be like without him. Our little “biddy” is growing up!

Gannon Ryan Busby
He’s here!
Gannon was born via c-section on Wednesday, June 10th at 8:23 p.m. and he is beautiful! He weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. and is 20 inches long. We got to come home on Saturday afternoon and have enjoyed every minute of getting to know our new addition! I am truly amazed and how different he is from Clark, somehow I thought they would be just like alike but Gannon truly is his own little person! Clark loves his brother and can’t seem to get enough of him, which is a huge blessing!

Diaper Shower!
Wonderful friends of mine held a playdate diaper shower for me/baby/Clark yesterday and we had so much fun! I got to indulge in some much needed away-from-the-house girl time and Clark got to catch up with Dami and Molly! Unfortunately though, I forgot my camera! Me and my forgetful preggo brain. Clark just LOVES Molly and it was really fun getting to watch him try to unsucessfully woo her throughout the afternoon. He also had a blast with Damian and I know that they are going to have so much fun together in a few days when Clark gets to stay with him while the baby makes his arrival! Thanks again, LADIES! YOU ARE ALL AMAZING

Chicken or Turkey?
It’s a chicken! Today I had my 37 week appointment. They did an ultrasound and took some measurements and are guessing that baby is around 6 to 61/2 pounds right now. It looks like we are going to have a smaller baby this time around and I’m so glad! They also gave me a green light for VBACing and I’m really excited! We have 3 weeks left until our due date but I can’t wait till he decides to get here. The sooner, the better!! I also have to mention that Clark threw his last binkie in the trash this past weekend-what a big boy! We are officially pacifier FREE!

About time for an update!
The Busby household has been full of sickness! We returned from our trip to Lubbock with quite the allergy epidemic. It seems that all 3 of us are quite allergic to Lubbock! I’m on a z-pack fighting an infection and Clark has a double (and his first!) ear infection. Conall seems to be the only one who made it out with the least of it. He has been such a champ taking care of us!
While in Lubbock, we go to hang out with my family and some of our old friends. We had a blast and it was really fun getting to watch Clark and my niece Calista play with each other. They had a lot of fun chasing each other around and kept each other entertained for hours!

Baby had an appt. Thursday and is looking good at 28 weeks. We got a good picture of his face. I don’t really think he looks much like Clark, or Clark’s old ultrasound pics. It will be interesting to see when he makes his debut.
With my slight complication, we have decided to wait until its almost time to decide between scheduling a C-section and trying to VBAC. It’s a little frustrating for me (being the planner that I am) not knowing what will happen now, but I know that whatever happens will be the best for me and baby.
After noticing that something wasn’t “quite right” with Clark, Conall took him to see the doc today, and it looks like the poor guy has a hernia
He will be going to a specialist soon to schedule the surgery date. Conall seems to have found comfort in this situation by constantly singing the “living with a hernia” song but I, being the mommy, seem to find myself a little nervous at the surgery part of this! eek! I am truly thankful (and AMAZED), however, that with a double ear infection, hernia, and 4 teeth coming in at once, how happy he still is! Here is a pic from today-what a trooper!

Hope you all are having wonderful (and healthy!) Spring Breaks!
